THE VAMPIRE CREATIVE CONGRESS

VampfestFrom the 1922 classic Noferatu through the iconic Hammer movies onto Twilight and forward to the many feature films and TV series currently in development, the vampire genre remains immortal on screen. In print, from the classic Victorian gothic phase and continuing to the modern day bestseller, vampires are the most recurring theme in horror literature.

This years’ Vampire Creative Congress will be staged over two days – Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 July – in Lauderdale House, a magnificent Georgian house overlooking Waterlow Park and Highgate Cemetery.  The event brings together vampire experts and creatives from film, literature and games (along with anyone with a general interest in vampires) for a series of talks, debates, readings and masterclasses. Topics cover self-publishing your own vampire novel; getting an agent; pitching your vampire project and raising the finances to make a vampire movie.

Speakers at IVFAF 2019 include legendary author Kim Newman, the ‘Prof of Goth’ Nick Groom, ‘Dolly Biter’ Paul Voodini and writer, actor director & Hammer expert Bruce G Hallenbeck.

Delegates will also gain admission to the Vampire Academic Conference which is being staged over the same two days in Lauderdale House. In addition your Industry Delegate Pass will also give you admission to screenings of the feature and short films selected for screening at IVFAF 2019 plus the following events.
