FILM

From the 1922 classic Noferatu to Christopher Lee’s Hammer creation and onto Twilight, vampires have been the enduring genre in cinema with 170 versions of Dracula alone. TV joined the party late on but the ratings of Buffy, True Blood, Vampire Diaries and The Strain, along with internet series such as Camilla, proves that we all love being scared by, or attracted to, vampires.

Each year IVFAF invites short and feature films to be submitted for screening. From the shortlist of nominated films a Golden Stake Award is given to the Best Feature and Best Short with Silver Stake Awards for the Runner Up in each category.
