Literature

From the classic Victorian gothic phase, and continuing to the modern day bestseller, vampires are the most popular recurring theme in horror literature.

IVFAF is the only literary event in the World that provides a specialised forum and marketplace to connect established and emerging writers with publishers working within the genre, while also showcasing vampire literature to the general public. Industry delegates enjoy an intensive programme of readings, Q&As, creative writing workshops, seminars, networking events and parties.  In addition there is also a public programme of readings and book signings by best-selling authors.

As a platform for new talent IVFAF invites submissions from authors who have published a Vampire novel, in print or on-line, over the last two years. Golden & Silver Stakes are presented each year along with a separate award for Best Short Story. In 2019 IVFAF is also launching a new award for young writers called 666 Words.
