Literature

From early 18th century poetry, through the classic Victorian gothic phase and continuing to the modern day, Vampires continue to be arguably the most popular recurring theme in literature. Set in the ancient Transylvanian citadel that was the birthplace to Bram Stoker’s iconic figure, IVFAF provides a  forum to discuss classic works, an opportunity to learn from established authors and a platform for emerging literary talent. An intense programme of workshops, seminars, masterclasses and parties that embrace literature, performing art, gaming and academia to make IVFAF the world leading industry event for the vampire genre.

The IVFAF Literature Programme includes Reading Q&As from leading authors in the Vampire genre. Previous speakers have included Dacre Stoker, Chris Golden, Rio Youers and Tim Lebbon.

IVFAF invites submissions from authors who have published a new Vampire novel in the previous year and Gold and Silver Stakes will be awarded along with a separate award for the Best Short Story.
